📌 Quick Answer
Is there an Obsession skin in Fortnite? Obsession is officially part of the Fortnitemares 2026 lineup, and the movie's One Wish Willow showed up in Epic's own trailer. Leakers say the full bundle includes a Nikki Freeman outfit. The exact contents and price should be checked in the Item Shop.
The big question: will the crossover stay a creepy easter egg, or become the most wanted horror skin of the year?
🎞️ What Is Obsession?
Obsession is a 2026 independent horror film directed by YouTuber-turned-filmmaker Curry Barker. It became the internet's favorite scary movie of the year, and its lead character Nikki Freeman, played by Inde Navarrette, stole the show. Navarrette is also a gamer, which is one reason fans felt a Fortnite crossover was only a matter of time.
🗓️ How the Crossover Happened
July 2026: The Sprite Trailer
Epic Games released a short promo called "The Obsession is Real | Fortnite Edit" for Chapter 7 Season 3, mixing scenes from the movie with Fortnite Sprites, produced together with Focus Features and Blumhouse. At the time it was only a tease, but fans immediately asked for skins.
September 2026: The Fortnitemares Trailer
The Fortnitemares 2026 trailer included a quick flash frame of a character holding the One Wish Willow box. That single frame is what made fans sure the movie was part of this year's Halloween event, which also brings other horror collabs.
October 2026: The Update
Reports tied the Obsession content to the Fortnitemares update that arrived on October 1. Leakers HYPEX and ShiinaBR said a full Nikki bundle with extra cosmetics is part of the plan, but remember that leaks are not official announcements.
🛒 What Could Be in the Obsession Bundle?
Nikki Freeman outfit: the star of the movie and the most likely skin, with a possible "Freaky Nikki" style inspired by the film.
One Wish Willow: the movie's signature item, already seen in the trailer.
Emote with a prop: leakers say there is a special animation tied to the Nikki skin.
Extra cosmetics: fans also dream of a pickaxe, a loading screen and a Jam Track, but treat these as wishes unless Epic lists them.
Fan concept warning: the viral "Willow Axe" pickaxe and Jam Track you may have seen online came from a fan-made concept, not from Epic.
💡 How to Get the Fortnite Obsession Skin
1. Update Fortnite to the latest version.
2. Open the Item Shop and check the Obsession or Fortnitemares tab.
3. The shop resets every day at 7 PM (ET), so check again after each reset.
4. Buy only inside the game. Websites promising "free Nikki skins" or "free V-Bucks" are scams.
🧠 Why This Crossover Is a Big Deal
1. Perfect timing: a viral horror hit meets Fortnite's biggest spooky event.
2. A real character fans love: Nikki Freeman is already a meme and a favorite.
3. A new kind of collab: Epic hinted at it with a Sprite trailer before showing any skin.
4. Hype vs. reality: fan concepts look amazing, but only Epic decides what lands in the shop.
🏁 My Take
The smartest part of this crossover is how slowly Epic built it: a funny Sprite trailer, then a one-second flash of the One Wish Willow, and suddenly the whole community was obsessed. If the Nikki Freeman skin lands the way leakers describe, it could be one of the most talked-about horror collabs of Fortnitemares 2026.
Best for: horror fans, collectors of Fortnitemares skins and anyone who loved the movie.
Skip it if: you only buy skins for competitive looks or you dislike horror themes.
