📖 The Story
Since ancient times, a heavenly entity called the Determinant has guided humanity through "astral ordinances" meant to preserve peace. That peace is breaking down: the world now stands on the edge of catastrophe because of Lightfall, a deadly phenomenon that kills anything it touches. As Lightfall Season draws near, an amnesiac boy named Asch crosses paths with Finé and her guard, Diana, in a remote village. Bound by an astral ordinance to "save many people," Asch joins Finé on a quest to hunt down the mysterious Provitons believed to be causing Lightfall — not realizing the fate that's actually waiting for them at the end of the road. In combat, Asch can absorb abilities called Kardieos from defeated enemies and combine them with special moves like Barrier Star, Blessing Star, and Severing Star, in a battle system Konami says evolves based on the choices you make.
