One important detail: this is not the 2022 Saints Row reboot. It is the 2011 classic Saints Row: The Third, in the Remastered version that first launched on consoles and PC in 2020, now ported to mobile.

📖 The Story: From Street Gang to Celebrities

The 3rd Street Saints started as a street gang, but by the time of this chapter they are famous. They have fame, money and their own brand, and they are living like rock stars. That success has a price. A trio of gangs known as the Syndicate runs the city of Steelport, and they do not like a rival with this much attention.

When the Saints land in Steelport, the Syndicate pushes back and wants a piece of everything they own. The Saints refuse, and from that moment the goal is simple: take Steelport back district by district, break the Syndicate, and rebuild the empire from the ground up. The story runs across 47 missions, and it is told with the loud, self-aware humor the series is known for. It is a standalone adventure, so you do not need to have played the earlier games.

🎮 Gameplay: An Open-World Playground

An Entire City to Take Over

Steelport is a big open city, and you earn power, money and respect by doing almost anything: story missions, side activities, wild stunts and plain destruction. As you win territory, the city slowly turns into Saints territory.

Over-the-Top Activities

Base jumping, car boosting and insurance fraud are some of the ways to earn cash and respect. Insurance fraud, for example, rewards you for throwing yourself in front of traffic in the most dramatic way possible. It is silly, it is fast, and it fits short mobile sessions well.

Vehicles That Break the Rules

You can drive tanks and hover bikes through the streets, and even the classic drive-by gets a wild upgrade with human cannonball cars and flamethrowing Genkimobiles. Driving is meant to be a weapon, not just transport.

Your Boss, Your Way

You play as the leader of the Saints, known as the Boss, and the game gives you a huge amount of freedom to shape how your character looks, dresses and fights. The series has always been known for a big collection of outfits, vehicles and weapons to unlock.

Online Co-op

The mobile version includes full online co-op, so you can cause trouble in Steelport with a friend instead of going solo.

👥 Main Characters

The Boss

The leader of the 3rd Street Saints and the character you create and control. The Boss is fully customizable, so the hero in your game can look and sound completely different from anyone else's.

Johnny Gat

The Boss's loyal right hand, a fan favorite since the early games. Cool, deadly and always ready for a fight.

Shaundi

A longtime member of the crew with a sharp tongue and plenty of attitude, and one of the faces most closely tied to the Saints' rise.

Pierce Washington

The wisecracking muscle of the gang and a close friend of the Boss, who brings much of the humor to the group.

Kinzie Kensington

A hacker and tech expert who helps the Saints from behind the screen.

The Syndicate

The enemies of the story are a trifecta of gangs: the Morningstar, the Luchadores and the Deckers. Each one controls part of Steelport and has its own style, from sharp-suited criminals to masked wrestlers and hackers. Taking them down one by one is the backbone of the campaign.

📲 What the Mobile Version Offers

Touch controls: the game is tailored to touchscreens, with on-screen controls you can customize.
Controller and keyboard support: gamepads are supported on both iOS and Android, and you can also use a keyboard and mouse.
All DLC included: Genkibowl VII, Gangstas in Space and The Trouble with Clones, plus more than 30 extra weapons, vehicles and outfits.
Remastered visuals: the improved graphics of the Remastered edition are brought over to mobile.
Premium, one-time price: it is a paid game with the whole package, not a free game built around purchases.

⚙️ Phone Requirements

iPhone and iPad: iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. Supported iPhones include the iPhone 11 range and newer, the third-generation iPhone SE and the iPhone Air. Supported iPads start with the 10th-generation iPad, the iPad mini 6, the iPad Air 4 and the 2018 third-generation iPad Pro.
Android: Android 13 or later. More detailed hardware specifications for Android had not been shared at the time of writing, so check the Google Play page before you buy.

✅ Why You Should Be Excited

1. The Full Game, Not a Lite Version

The whole 47-mission campaign and every DLC pack are included for one price.

2. A Trusted Porting Studio

Feral Interactive has a solid record of bringing big console and PC games to phones, including GRID Legends, Hitman: Absolution and Tomb Raider.

3. Flexible Ways to Play

Touch, controller, or keyboard and mouse: you choose what feels best.

4. No Extra Hardware Needed

An open-world crime playground on a phone you already own, with no console purchase.

⚠️ Things to Watch

1. Touch Controls in a Big Action Game

Shooting, driving and camera control all at once is always a challenge on a touchscreen. Customizable controls help, but a controller will probably be the best experience.

2. Your Phone Must Be Recent Enough

The OS and device requirements rule out older phones, so check your model first.

3. Performance Is Still Unknown

Until the game is out, we cannot say how it runs or how much it heats a phone. I will update this guide after launch.

4. Mature Humor

The series is violent and crude on purpose. It is built for adults, not for younger players.

💡 Smart Tips Before Launch Day

1. Pre-order on the App Store or pre-register on Google Play so you get notified on October 29.
2. Check that your phone meets the iOS or Android requirement above.
3. Free up storage space ahead of time, and check the download size on the store page.
4. Prepare a Bluetooth controller if you have one, and tweak the on-screen layout in the settings if you play on touch.
5. Only buy from the official App Store or Google Play listing, and avoid "free download" links from unknown sites.

🏁 My Take Before Launch

This is one of the most interesting mobile announcements of the year. The Saints Row series has always been about freedom and humor, and having that on a phone, with every DLC pack and online co-op, for a single price, is a strong offer. The only real question is how well the controls and performance hold up. If Feral delivers what it did on its previous ports, this could be a standout title for anyone who loves open-world action.

Best for: open-world fans, long-time Saints Row players and anyone who wants a big console-style game on mobile.
Not ideal for: younger players, older phones, or people who dislike touch controls in action games.
