🚪 Other Mommy — Movie Preview & Release Date
Directed by Rob Savage (Host, The Boogeyman), Other Mommy is one of the most talked-about horror trailers of 2026. Based on the New York Times bestselling novel Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman, the film follows eight-year-old Bela, who lives in a home strained by her parents' troubled marriage. One night, a sinister entity emerges from her closet — looking exactly like her mother. Bela calls it "Other Mommy," and it grows more threatening to her and her family with every appearance.

👀 Why We're Excited
This marks Jessica Chastain's return to horror after standout roles in Mama, Crimson Peak, and It: Chapter Two — and pulling double duty as both mother and monster is a rare acting challenge. Paired with Rob Savage's proven knack for close-quarters dread (Host, The Boogeyman) and James Wan's horror pedigree behind the scenes, Other Mommy has all the ingredients of a genuinely unsettling family nightmare. Early trailer reactions have already praised it as one of the scarier previews of the year.
